4 Solane Tips to keep safe during disasters

We have no control nor even if we have the most hi-tech device ever built we cannot just predict whenever a disaster is coming especially Natural disasters, neither be controlled. But while they can leave catastrophic damages, everyone can take precautionary steps to mitigate its adverse effects. 

If the unthinkable and unpredictable does occur, having an early plan for safety and knowing what to do could make all the difference for you and your loved ones. And more often than not preparation is indeed a MUST. These four tips can help you stay safe during a disaster.

Prepare an emergency kit

An important step in preparing for unforeseen events is having an emergency kit ready for you and your family. Basic supplies kit should include: a gallon of water per person per day for the next three days, three-day supply of food, flashlight, extra batteries, first aid kit, seven-day supply of medicines, multi-purpose tools, cell phone with chargers, family and emergency contact information, copies of personal documents, extra cash, blankets, maps of the area.

Safety during fire
Some of the common causes of fire, especially during natural disasters like earthquake, are faulty electrical and gas lines. If you are caught in an establishment engulfed by fire, immediately vacate the area and ask for help. Do not hide in closets and small spaces, and remember to stay low and crawl as it is easier to breathe in a fire if you stay low. 

Plan your escape routes and safe places

It’s important to have a sketch of your house so you know how to immediately get out when disaster strikes. Establish and record the location of your meeting area, and be sure to practice this with your family members.

Be informed
Know the hazards within your community, and ask the local authorities about the emergency plans and warning signals. Being informed will help you gather a detailed plan for your own household.

Sunpiology Raises Over 5 Million for Charity

Last January 20 at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City, the event attracted over 3,000 runners, who tackled obstacles designed to raise awareness about diabetes. A limbo rock challenge reminded everyone to keep their health in check, a 100-step challenge gave reminders on how to infuse exercise in one’s daily routine, while a sugar tunnel prompted everyone to watch their sugar intake. 

Sun Life has been championing diabetes awareness since 2015, after studies that it commissioned showed that many Filipinos lacked knowledge about the debilitating disease. In fact, part of the funds raised will go to the Institute for Studies on Diabetes Foundation (ISDFI), which facilitates diabetes awareness and prevention initiatives for Filipinos. 

Other beneficiaries are Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation, Hebreo Foundation, and the Star Magic

  1. Pray together. When God is at the center of everything, everything will fall into place. 
  2. Communicate. As they said, almost everything can be sorted through an open and honest communication. 
  3. Be kind. If you can't be anything, if there is no more love, then at least be kind. 
  4. Be open. The two of you are not the same person which means that you will not have the same beliefs, the same principles, and the same ideologies. In fact, chances are big that you will have different ones to be open to understanding how the other person works. 
  5. Let go of fear. Most of the time, we react negatively because of fear.

Financial Needs Analysis platform from AXA Philippines

The launch event was held on November 28, 2017, at the AXA Philippines head office in GT Tower International in Makati City. AXA Philippines, one of the country’s leading insurance companies, recently launched its Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) platform, as part of its commitment to empower people to live the life they choose by helping them create a solid financial game plan. 

The FNA is both a service and a tool that an AXA financial coach (or advisor) can use to explain to the customer in easy terms why life protection is important, especially in cases of unforeseen setbacks and emergencies. A track under Design Center’s Design Competency Development Program, it serves as an avenue for young designers to enhance their skills and competencies through intensive training conducted by recognized program mentors.

The designers have successfully completed the first phase of the New Design Graduates Training (NDGT) program. The exhibit features popular pieces that the designers redesigned and introduce to prolong their durability and enhance their commercial viability.

The 15 designers will proceed to the next two phases, which include apprenticeship and actual design practice. 

NDGT was developed by the Design Center of the Philippines, an agency attached to the Department of Trade and Industry.  It is a 16-month training program divided into three phases.

AXA-NBA celebrated the strategic partnership for financial assistance to Tahanang Walang Hagdanan

Last July, NBA 3X Philippines 2017 presented by AXA staged a free throw challenge featuring local celebrities including TV personality Bobby Yan, former PBA player Paul Artadi, and former UP Lady Maroons team captain Karen Salapong that generated a financial donation for every free throw made, which will be used to purchase wheelchairs for the community.

Tips to Survive your Personal Budget Strategy this 2018

New Years Resolution is up on our list again for sure this New Year it’s the time of the year to make that list of self-improvements again.
