Television and film actor Paulo Avelino and KTM motorcycle fan shared the excitement of KTM Philippines in its first ever participation in the recently-concluded Inside RACING Bike Festival and Trade Show held at the World Trade Center. 

A racing enthusiast, Avelino joined the team behind KTM Philippines in introducing the brand’s impressive line of high-powered motorcycles and the present 200 Duke available at P147K. Recently, Avelino underwent rider training at the renowned California Superbikes School Philippines using the KTM RC390.

LAbor UNION Festival 2017

PHILIPPINES (April 25, 2017) – This summer, AXN and Sony Channel bring all the high energy and excitement in the surfing capital of the north for LAbor UNION Festival 2017 from April 28-30, 2017, a three-day event which features a variety of sports and other fun-filled activities including performances from iconic Filipino artists.

Later in the day, silent discos are all the craze as this unique musical experience brings partygoers together at San Juan Surf Beach Resort for the Sony Channel Sunset Silent Disco. 

From 4pm to 12mn, dance to the beats of Slow Jam Hip Hop or Chill House music and start enjoying the sunset view while listening to the music mixes of DJs Cam Abecina, Abdel Azis and DJ Badkiss on wireless headphones.

They say running a business with family members can be tricky – not only does it blur the line between what’s personal and professional, but it also has the potential to bring out the worst in you and your relatives. 

For the owners of Fabson Inc., a family-owned corporation that distributes Solane LPG in Iloilo City, working with close relatives has brought out the best in each of them. 

Looking at the company’s consistent growth in the past 48 years, it really looks like working with family is something that Fabson employees thrive in. Cebu Pacific (CEB) and Cebgo remind all passengers to allot ample time to check-in, go through security and immigration checks, and process pre-departure requirements, to avoid long queues at the check-in and immigration counters.

CEB Domestic Check-in counters are open three (3) hours before the scheduled time of departure and four (4) hours for International flights. All check-in counters close 45 minutes before the scheduled time of flights, except those exiting the Middle East (one hour) and Shanghai (50 minutes).

Toni “Dynamite” Tauru is determined to keep his winning momentum going inside the ONE Championship cage as the Finnish fighters aims to claim his second consecutive victory under the umbrella of Asia’s largest mixed martial arts (MMA) organization.

The 32-year-old native of Utti, Finland is set to square off with Filipino standout Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon in the co-headliner of ONE: KINGS OF DESTINY, which takes place at the 20,000-seater SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines on 21 April.

After falling short in his first two assignments as a ONE Championship athlete, Tauru broke into the promotion’s winning territory for the first time this past December by submitting Belingon’s teammate Geje “Gravity” Eustaquio with a rear-naked choke in the opening salvo.

Tauru wasted no time in the stand-up trade with the Team Lakay representative, shooting immediately for a single-leg takedown and pacifying Eustaquio on the canvas.

From there, Tauru used his size and strength advantage to power through a rear-naked choke to compel Eustaquio to wave the white flag and notch the win in the first round.

Fresh from his spectacular submission triumph over Eustaquio, Tauru sees his three-round bantamweight encounter against Belingon as an opportunity to establish his first winning streak in ONE Championship.

The man standing in Tauru’s goal to make it two in a row in ONE Championship is Belingon, a former bantamweight title challenger who rose to prominence as a fierce cage competitor with the ability to finish opponents in a variety of methods.

Belingon is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Tajik prospect Muin Gafurov, who defeated Tauru by way of third-round stoppage in January 2016.

Although Belingon is the heavy favorite in the marquee match-up versus Tauru on paper, the latter is fervent to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds to walk out of the state-of-the-art SM Mall of Asia Arena with his name being announced as the winner.

Kevin Belingon eyes emphatic victory over Toni Tauru

Filipino fighter Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon is seeking a statement-making victory as he is set to face Toni “Dynamite” Tauru on the undercard of ONE: KINGS OF DESTINY in Manila, Philippines on 21 April.

The 28-year-old Baguio City native has had his fair share of highs and lows inside the ONE Championship cage since making his promotional debut five years ago, but he wants nothing short of leaving a lasting impression.

Belingon, a Wushu Sanshou practitioner who prefers to clobber a straight right-left hook combination and throw hard kicks at all levels but particularly to the legs, notched a first-round stoppage of Russia’s Yusup Saadulaev in October 2012.

Meanwhile, Belingon thwarted Australian stalwart Than Vu in April 2013 by delivering a high kick before unleashing a volley of power punches that resulted in a second-round finish.

Belingon stressed that if the opportunity to score a finish presents itself against Tauru, he will not think twice to grab it.

In his last bout, Belingon shied away from his relentless fighting style and resorted to a more tactical approach to get a unanimous decision win over Muin Gafurov last October.

Belingon stressed that he was seeking an emphatic triumph over Gafurov, but the strategic nature of the bout did not give him the chance to do so.

From bell to bell, the one-time ONE Championship bantamweight title challenger banked on his lashing leg kicks and takedown defense to keep Gafurov at bay.

Belingon continued to dictate the pace of the match in the third and final frame, where he maintained his distance by consistently telegraphing his leg kicks while making Gafurov hesitate to cut the gap with his signature left hook.

Although Belingon’s method of defeating Gafurov was starkly different from his usual fighting style, he plans to win his fans over again as the 5-foot-5 Team Lakay standout is known for his highlight-reel finishes.

Kingad sees Manila match as gateway to big flyweight bouts in ONE Championship

“He had a great run in the amateur ranks as most of his wins came by submission. He was an amateur mixed martial arts champion with a 7-1 record. He has won two-straight fights as a featherweight. Now, he moves down to flyweight. It’s the perfect match-up if I want to climb the ladder of the flyweight division. In order to be the best flyweight in Asia, you have to face the best out there. Of course, I want to fight the big names of the division. Before I reach that level, I have to deal with my opponent on April 21st. He’s a remarkable fighter and always honing his craft. Filipino prospect Danny Kingad believes that his three-round flyweight encounter with division newcomer Muhammad Aiman could be his stepping-stone to the upper echelon of ONE Championship’s 61.2-kilogram weight class.

Both men are scheduled to face each other on the undercard of ONE: KINGS OF DESTINY, which takes place at the 20,000-capacity SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines on 21 April.

Kingad sees his flyweight meeting with Aiman as the perfect platform to elevate him in the rankings of the division as his Malaysian counterpart is a former MIMMA featherweight titleholder.

In addition, Aiman is currently riding high on a two-bout winning streak, defeating Hisyam Samsudin by unanimous decision in his first match inside the ONE Championship cage while stopping Brazilian grappler Eduardo Novaes in his most recent outing.

The 21-year-old Baguio City native describes his marquee match-up against Aiman as the right preparation for big bouts as he yearns to dance with the flyweight bracket’s notable names.

With ONE Championship housing high-caliber flyweights such as Kairat Akhmetov, Adriano Moraes and Gianni Subba, Kingad asserted that his main objective in Asia’s largest mixed martial arts organization is to vie for the ONE Flyweight World Championship.

However, Kingad bared that he is not in a hurry and would rather take the long road to a championship crack than prematurely vie for the gold-plated strap.

Although Aiman may pose a threat to Kingad’s emergent stature in the weight class, the latter leans on the learning from the forthcoming showdown as it can benefit his maturity as a prizefighter.

Kingad remains optimistic that the ONE Flyweight World Championship belt will be fastened around his waist someday.

Gina Iniong targets championship date with Angela Lee

Previously, considering the possibility of Gina “Conviction” Iniong squaring off with ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angel “Unstoppable” Lee inside the ONE Championship cage seemed to be a far-fetched dream.

However, tides have overturned after Asia’s largest mixed martial arts (MMA) organization acquired Iniong from the free agent market earlier this year.

Iniong, who has been on the promotion’s radar for several years, inked an exclusive multi-bout contract with ONE Championship, which bolstered its burgeoning roster of world-class female MMA athletes.

The 27-year-old Baguio City native is a member of the renowned Team Lakay and has a professional MMA record of 4-2. Three of her four career victories have come by thrilling finish, which includes two impressive submissions.

Team Lakay’s 5-foot-2 atomweight standout also owns notable victories over the likes of French fighter Nathalie Heidel and Japanese veteran Mei Yamaguchi.

In her last bout under a regional MMA promotion in January 2016, Iniong astonishingly submitted Spanish combatant Vanessa Rico Fernandez with a heel lock in the first round.

Iniong will make her much-awaited promotional debut at ONE: KINGS OF DESTINY in Manila, Philippines on 21 April as she is booked to face with Filipino-English stalwart Natalie Gonzales Hills in a three-round atomweight contest.

Although she is scheduled to compete against a talented combatant like Hills at ONE: KINGS OF DESTINY, Iniong admitted that one of the aspirations that she has in mind is to contend with Lee for the gold-plated strap.

Iniong knows that if she plays her cards right against Hills, a date with Lee may well be on the horizon for her.

But according to Iniong, her focus remains on Hills because if she wants to secure a match with Lee, she must address the task in front of her.

Now competing on a bigger international MMA stage like ONE Championship, Iniong seeks to leave a lasting impression in her debut.
