Mobile Legends Bang Bang and Facebook Gaming are excited to share with you their latest collaboration called Crazy Legends

Mobile Legends Bang Bang x Facebook Gaming launches Crazy Legends community event Online gamers are in for another treat as Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) Facebook Gaming organizes a new community event called Crazy Legends!

Mobile Legends Bang Bang, in cooperation with Facebook Gaming, prepared lots of surprises for its avid players who will participate in Crazy Legends event. All they need to do is to watch their favorite celebrity e-sports players complete quests via game streaming.

The popular multiplayer battle game chooses 10 well-liked Pinoy MLBB streamers to take on their challenges starting March 11 to April 8.

(From left to right: Mobile Legends streamers Le Josette, Akosi Dogie, cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao, MRVii, Yasumeow, Solid MB, Bubble Gang star/comedian Moymoy Palaboy, YuriGaming, Yakou and Z4pnu.)
These celebrity streamers are Alodia Gosiengfiao, Ako si Dogie, Le Josette, Moymoy Palaboy, MRVii Gaming, SolidMB, Yasumeow, Yakou, YuriGaming, and Z4pnu.

Each of these players will form a group or by themselves that will take on the weekly Mobile Legends challenge.

Prior to game streaming, they will draw five (5) quests through a raffle page designed by MLBB creator Moonton.

The celebrity streamer must relate these challenges to the community before playing Mobile Legends Bang Bang.

Then, the celebrity streamer and his/her group will be given 10 minutes to plan their strategy. After that, celebrity gamer must state the slogan “What could be worse” to mark the start of their three-hour game.

Each group needs to complete at least three of these quests within the three hours of game streaming in their respective channels or Facebook pages. Failure to do so may lead to a penalty, which will be drawn from the same raffle page.

Meanwhile, Crazy Legends event encourages team work within the community by letting spectators help their favorite MLBB celebrity players to strategically finish the challenges.

And while watching the three-hour game, Moonton and Facebook Gaming will drop random giveaways for the viewers.

Viewers must make sure that their MLBB account is linked to Facebook to receive the stream rewards—which may consist of rare or limited skins, fragments, and emblem. Of course, everything is permanent!

Bigger surprises awaits the community of the winning celebrity streamer as Moonton will host a huge drop event after the four-week Crazy Legends event.

Crazy Legends streaming schedules of each celebrity gamer will be posted on Mobile Legends Bang Bang app and on its Facebook page.

Watch also for the weekly highlights of the live streams, leaderboard, and scoring to be published by Moonton within the Facebook page.

How Millennials Will Influence Positive Change in 2019

This trend of people being more aware of their impact on the world is really an evolution based on significant experiences that have shaped an entire generation. Millennials are digital natives. They witnessed the economic hardships of 2008 and the Global War on Terrorism that began in 2001. Those factors seem to have crafted a generation that has a greater focus on self-care, wisdom in the crowd over authority, and a desire to simply make life better for themselves and others.

By now, you probably have in mind a new type of training or cuisine you want to try. We often talk about fitness and nutrition trends, but is there such a thing as social support trend? I’d like to think there is, and millennials are the heartbeat of it. This purpose-driven generation tends to care more about the environment and social responsibility.

By 2025, millennials could represent up to 75% of the workforce. Can you imagine how this massive demographic shift will transform the world? In 2019, we will begin to spot some of these changes:

Ethical Consumption
A study by Nielsen revealed that 73% of millennials are willing to spend more on a product if it comes from a sustainable brand. But this goes well beyond sustainability or corporate social responsibility.

Concerns about farming practices, animal welfare, food safety supply chain ethics and accountability may likely shift our diets to be more plant-based. Roughly 26% of millennials identify as vegan or vegetarians.

Consumers are trying to be responsible citizens of the world, and they expect the same from corporations.

Social Influence on Nutrition and Health
Humans have always had a need to belong, to be a part of something. It is in our nature to be social; groups provide us with identity and a support system.

There is wisdom in the community: the crowd is wiser than any single participant, simply because it adds up everyone’s knowledge, experience, and information.

When it comes to health, fitness, and nutrition, consumers will look to their peers and networks for news, advice, and testimonials. Inspiring stories of weight loss, gains, and recovery will be stronger than any type of advertising.

This is apparent when we look at the internet and social media. Key opinion leaders are still valued but in different ways than before. They are valued for their input, rather than their degree or status.  Authority is garnered by how you interact, contribute, and relate with the tribe – not your position of authority garnered by titles.

Take a look at influencers on Instagram and YouTube, who discuss workouts, recipes, diet success, and body transformations. These stories inspire and give hope. Because of social learning, some people have taken a first step at attempting a healthier lifestyle.

Inclusive Betterment
Finally, because everything is connected, we are becoming less focused on winning at the expense of others.

Goals are set more in the context of evolving as a community. I call this “betterment.” In a more self-reflective way, there will be a push to connect our actions to a more inclusive goal of making life better for everyone.

We will see terms like “Individual Social Responsibility” take off. This encompasses two basic attitudes:
  • Minimizing our negative impact on others
  • The positive benefits we bring to society in general

This goes beyond volunteering. It includes our consumption decisions, vacation choices, and awareness of our environmental footprint.

Sure, we will still want to make life and health better for ourselves, but lavish lifestyles will become increasingly shunned by the crowd as it goes counter to the notion of betterment for all.

TDI President and Chief Operating Officer Lucio "Bong" Tan, Jr. Why Sustainability is Important in Business

"We always strive to find a healthy balance between environmental development and operational efficiency. We have realized this long ago in Tanduay, we never stopped in looking for better ways to ensure we do our part for the sake of the environment to ensure the future of our business. Businesses need to level up our game in making environmentally sound decisions in our operations. As a result of transferring into sustainable business practices, we were able to derive, direct and indirect values, that improved our processes and our relationships to our stakeholders. As a company that operates a manufacturing plant, we are very much aware of the role we play in making sure that the products we make should not be to the detriment of the resources we use. We want our operations to be environmentally sustainable not just for our own benefit, but for the good of the community and people we serve." ~Lucio "Bong" Tan, Jr., TDI President and Chief Operating Officer

As it celebrates the success of its 165 years, Tanduay Distillers, Inc. (TDI) looks to the future by doing its share in protecting the earth's resources. Mr. Tan Jr. sees the company continuing the green initiatives it started years back and looking for ways to make its operations even more environmentally friendly.

According to Tan Jr., stakeholders do not only demand strong business performance but for business organizations to champion socially and environmentally sustainable as well as responsible business practices.

Sustainability should be part of the company’s corporate DNA, he said, emphasizing how the transformation to a zero-waste facility of TDI’s distillery in Batangas has provided greater value for business over the years.

Under Tan, Jr., TDI has taken on various green initiatives through its award-winning distillery, Absolut Distillers, Inc. (ADI), in Lian, Batangas. These include the following: the establishment of a bioethanol facility with an expected production volume of 3 million liters per month; the operation of a 2.04-megawatt solar power plant; initiating an orga-ponics operation where it makes use of its distillery effluent (slop) as the main fertilizer of its plants; registering in the Anaerobic Digester Project of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) Project of the 1997 Kyoto Protocol (a UN-sponsored program that aims to reduce harmful gas emissions into the environment).

These initiatives were recognized by various environmental organizations. In 2011, it received the International Green Apple Environment Award from the Green Organisation at the British House of Commons in London, England. ADI was cited for "viewing their waste products as commodities." The distillery operation of TDI has, likewise, been lauded and has received multiple awards from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

1st FREEDOM TO DREAM SUMMIT on April 13, 2019!

Viviamo! Inc., makers of the Belle de Jour Power Planner, is spearheading the first Freedom to Dream Summit on April 13,2019 at the Red Carpet Cinema, Shangri-La Plaza. The event is meant to inspire and encourage the Filipino youth to discover their dreams, pursue their passions, and make a difference.

7 out of 10 Filipinos do not have a dream---study
The Dream Project PH, a non-stock and non-profit organization, conducted a survey among teenagers across the country. According to the study, 7 out of 10 Filipinos do not have a dream in life. Reasons include discouraging words from others, a lack of self-esteem, lack of passion, lack of opportunities, and poverty.

Is it any wonder why many Filipinos don’t know who they are and what to do next? Darlyn Ty-Nilo, president of Viviamo and creator of Belle de Jour Power Planner, hopes to change this. “We want to take action,” she shares, “by creating positive conversations on dreaming.” Through this initiative, Darlyn and her team hopes to make lasting change among the Filipino youth by giving them the freedom to dream.

Addressing the needs of Filipino youth
The Freedom to Dream summit will have three plenary sessions, addressing the barriers that contribute to the lack of dreaming.

The first plenary, “Raising Self-Worth,” aims to address the discouraging words spoken against the Filipino youth, and the self-esteem issues that resulted from this. Raising self-worth means having faith in oneself and believing that they are worthy of living the life they want.

Participants will hear from Dr. Gia Sison, a mental health advocate who hosts “G Talks,” a talk show in CNN Philippines. Rezza Custodio Soriano, a life coach and “transformologist,” will be one of the speakers on raising one’s self-worth.

The second plenary session, “Igniting Your Passion,” will encourage participants to find the purpose and passion that excites them and invite them to have the drive to stand up and persevere despite experiencing day-to-day challenges.

Prim Paypon, Filipino Dreamagineer and founder of the The Dream Project PH, and Aimee Hashim, lifestyle consultant and founder of LoveLuxe Trading Inc., will be speakers for “Igniting Your Passion.”

Finally, attendees will know how to put their dreams into reality with “Making it Happen,” the event’s third plenary session. Participants will learn how to maximize their resources and act on their goals, despite the lack of opportunities and abject poverty. Multi-awarded entrepreneur behind Oryspa Spa Solutions Inc., educator and advocate of the Filipino brand Sherill Quintana; and Jessica Lopez, Maningning Miclat Art 2018 awardee who created artworks out of milkfish bones will be speakers of this plenary.

Multi-awarded singer-songwriter Jose Villanueva, better known as “Quest,” will be one of Freedom to Dream’s keynote speakers. He envisions creating a culture of sharing positivity, harnessing his talents and influence to uplift the nation.

Apart from the plenaries, there will be fast talk conversations with successful women entrepreneurs and artists who’ll share personal stories on dreaming big and getting over discouragements.

Advocacy expo and mini concert
Participants will have access to an advocacy expo, to raise awareness on a wide range of advocacies that Viviamo! Inc. supports. In fact, 100% of the net proceeds will go to their chosen charity organizations. Apart from this, eventgoers are in for a musical treat with a mini concert after the plenaries. The concert is to be led by Quest and other special guests.

Through this event, Viviamo! Inc. aims to spark positive conversations on dreaming, break barriers, and empower the Filipino youth to live their dreams.

The summit is co-presented by The After Six Club and BraveWorks. Major sponsors include Manulife and Wacoal. Minor sponsors also include Ace Water Spa, Celeteque, Curves, Frankie’s, Harem, Qrated Crates, SM Parisian, Serenitea, StyleGenie, Witty Will Save the World, Co., and Zenutrients.

Our media partners include Blogapalooza, ChinoyTV, PageOne Media, Wheninmanila.com.

Women, love yourselves more!

“With a little bit of self-love, anyone can change their life. At SM, we want women to make themselves a priority by letting them indulge in various pampering activities so they can be the best version of themselves.” ~Jonjon San Agustin, SM Supermalls Senior Vice President
Renowned psychoneurologist and happiness doctor Lia Bernardo enumerates five easy tips on how women can live a happier, unapologetic life.
You can’t love others if you don’t truly love yourself. This is something we've heard since we were little. But loving one's self doesn’t happen overnight.

Renowned psychoneurologist and happiness doctor Lia Bernardo says that self-love is a daily process of accepting yourself completely by living a genuine, unapologetic life. Here are some tips from Dr. Bernardo on how women can love themselves even more:
  1. Break the cycle by starting within. You can’t tell people how to act but you can control how you think or feel about situations. It is better to see the bright side or to let go. Don’t give anyone the power over you – this is what true empowerment is.
  2. Know that you are beautiful. See yourself as whole – complete. All you need to do is face the camera inwards and like who you are. For days when you need a confidence booster, check out SM's beauty section to get special deals on skincare and beauty bundles.
  3. Be proactive. If you are sad, always remember that everything, including happiness, is your choice. Discover what makes you happy and take steps to incorporate them into your daily routine. Happiness is more about the journey, not the destination.
  4. Take care of yourself. It is important to practice self-care in all aspects of your life -- physically, mentally, and emotionally. Indulge in self-care with the Women’s Special at SM this March and avail of beauty and wellness deals from select spas and salons.
  5. Accept yourself. Once you’ve learned to accept and acknowledge who you really, are, all that self-doubt goes out the window. Take the time to get to know your individuality because whatever you think, you believe. Whatever you believe becomes your behavior. Revisit your belief so you can improve your life today.

Ladies, celebrate self-love this Women’s Month at SM! Get fabulous finds such as fashion, accessories, make-up and skin care up to 70% off during SM’s Women’s Wednesday Sale the entire month of March.

GCash Supports Families of Fallen Heroes

“Since HERO Foundation’s inception in 1988, it has been actively supporting the families of our military personnel killed or totally incapacitated in the line of duty. We only are able to do this through the generosity and trust of individuals and corporations. Through this partnership with GCash, being a HERO to our heroes' children is made easier and more convenient. It also is a way to honor the sacrifices of our military by ensuring the children they leave behind still have a chance to a brighter future.” ~Victor V. Bayani (Ret), Hero Foundation Inc., Executive Director, MGen

GCash, the Philippines’ #1 mobile wallet sealed its partnership with Hero Foundation Inc. - a non-governmental organization (NGO) in the Philippines which main advocacy is to help orphans of our fallen and incapacitated military men in the line of duty.

This partnership is an initiative driven by a shared vision of GCash and Hero Foundation that families depending on fallen brave men who faced tragic events or at worst died serving the country are not left behind. It is a reality that most of the dependents of our fallen military heroes suffer from hunger, inability to sustain basic needs, lack of money to send the children to school,  unavailability of jobs for their spouses, and other misfortunes brought by the incapacity of the family’s breadwinner.
"We believe in what Hero Foundation is advocating for and we want to be part of their journey of helping the families of our military heroes. GCash will enable the foundation to accept donations via the QR technology and soon, through our App via the online bills payment. We hope this will increase their reach and help in their advocacy. This is very much aligned with our drive for financial inclusion in the country and our campaign for #GCashForGood.” ~Anthony Thomas, Mynt’s CEO, Mynt is the company that operates GCash
Hero Foundation as an institution has reached a significant number of fallen military heroes’ orphans by providing them the opportunity to have the proper education. Hero Foundation sponsors scholarship grants to these orphans as a way of giving back to the fallen heroes we have today.

Bearing these realities in mind, GCash has explored to open a partnership with Hero Foundation. The country’s #1 mobile wallet has provided Hero Foundation and our fellow countrymen who support the cause a fast, secure, and convenient way of bringing something back to orphans of military men who died in the line of duty. Using the Quick Response (QR) Code technology donations can now be made digitally. The donation boxes of HERO Foundation are strategically located at the major malls in Metro Manila and throughout the country and will also be assigned their specific QR codes.

This partnership is part of GCash’s campaign to empower more NGOs, Communities, and Organizations in the country through #GCashForGood. This will enable more individuals to conveniently support their chosen charities through the use of the GCash App

How to Fall in Love with Your Kitchen... Again?

A kitchen is a place of reinvention, imagination, and experimentation. It welcomes trial and error. Every spill and stain on each surface sticks in your memory. Here, you stumble, yet, you pursue good decisions for an active and healthy lifestyle. You shave off a little from your monthly food budget so that your shelves are well-stocked. You remember good times—delicious times.

However, the kitchen is one of the hardest parts of the house to maintain. Not only is it difficult to organize cooks wares, but it can also be tasking, especially when you see that things are not in good condition or properly stored.

To savor only good memories, Beko Philippines, empowering new generations to live healthier, in line with its Eat Like a Pro advocacy, listed fun activities to make your kitchen an ideal setting for healthy meal preps. Make this area of your house into something that resembles your proper lifestyle choices.

Declutter
Remember the day you promised to take better care of yourself by eating healthy? Why not start by reorganizing the pantry and put careful thought in each produce you place inside.

Check around and discard anything that went beyond its expiration date, as well as disposing rusted utensils. A clean slate would allow a brighter vision for food preparation and goal-setting. Your kitchen wall is your new springboard for future activities involving a ton of fun, healthy activities.

Remodel
You know how boring it is to stay with a plan, especially at the beginning. You can avoid this slump by adding a few changes to your culinary setting. Tap into your creativity and add a few patterns to your walls or floors. Investing in a few kitchen products cements the idea that you plan to take this lifestyle with you as you grow in the coming years.

Reorganize
Group fruits in a basket. Place basic cooking essentials like salt, pepper, and eggs on a counter within arm’s reach. Make sure to only group groceries that are only beneficial to you. Instead of a sugar station, swap it with stevia or honey. Store herbs and other seasonings, not cookies, in jars. For a feeling of warmth, hook garlic on walls. Label things in the pantry if necessary. This tasteful arrangement appeals to your eyes and sets a commitment to pursue dietary ambitions.

Create
Now that you know where things are, it’s time to prepare dishes with your new kitchen items. Blend smoothies using recipes you’ve been craving to try out. Add energizing scents like citrus or cinnamon in the air as a cue for creative creations. Invite someone over to witness all the hard work you’ve put into the place and talk about how you’ll carry this discipline and creativity into your activities.

Give yourself a pat on the back now that you’ve organized the pantry, restocked all the basics, and cleaned the walls and the floors. But, don’t stop there. Consider getting another home solution that fits in with the new kitchen look.
